The Vortex Project was an interactive exhibition and installation at LA Space Camp in Downtown Los Angeles/California from July to August, 2016.
Over the course of a year, I built a team of nine creatives who all contributed in diverse artistic measures to the project.
Collaborators: Michael Atallah (Filmmaker), Rafael Sampaio Rocha (Architect, Fabricator), Lindsay Scoggins (Animator, Effects Artist), Darkside Studios LA, Brittany Tatiana (PR Creative) & Peter Nylund (Photographer), Flynn Helper (Glass Artist), Lea Wright (Creative Contributor), and Cameron Tong (Pianist).
The nine of us all based in downtown Los Angeles came together to form an otherworldly experience through the insertion of “color”” into a stylized “norm-core”” world.
The Vortex Project gave the audience a participatory and multi--dimensional look into new creative alternatives that can be translated into their everyday lives.
Taking a dive from reality to fantasy, it was a concept that extends into a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, paintings, installations, photography, video,
3D animation, music and glass art.
We crafted an experience that evoked a story of transcendence and innocence:: healing through the power of sound and color.
