The Pershing Square solo exhibition includes five 9' x 9' digital pieces that were installed on 2.7.19. A time lapse video was taken during installation. The exhibition was on view till June.
The viewing reception was Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and presented by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, and sponsored by the Pershing Square Advisory Board. Invitation is also on my blog.
The five designs I created encompass various aspects from my ‘Vortex’ patterned linear series inspired by the Op-art movement and a 3D architectural aesthetic. The 3D components are influenced by a modern city still life combining exterior and interior objects. Time is incorporated affecting one's current emotional and physical state of being.
I took into substantial consideration the architecture and urban environment when designing which pieces were installed. Since many of my digital designs have a dark background, I wanted to soften those colors and infuse an overall lighter background palette to meld with the purple concrete structure and background setting.
Each of the five designs are available for purchase here as a limited edition piece printed, signed, and numbered, on archival and heavy museum quality 300 gsm paper.
In addition, I will also have a signed limited edition accordion book also printed on archival paper available for purchase available soon. The book will include the process of the project.
"What an artistic joy working with Caroline. Fun art, all ducks in a row, and easy to work with. Let’s do this again some time!”
